I will introduce you a slim portable external
battery power bank: Poweradd pilot x1 external battery, I will give you a
review of it. This is slim power bank which holds a capacity of 5200mAh. the Poweradd
Pilot X1 comes in one black and grey color, Size wise package, with Micro USB cables, Wall plug, user manual. it is pretty slim and lightweight, portable carry
for me.
Feature Functions
The Poweradd Pilot X1 power bank is stander
USB output port and Mini USB input port, comes with an USB cable for you to
plug into your phone. The downside to this is that, you would have to bring
along an extra cable if you are going to charge the Poweradd Pilot X1 power
bank. In case you are wondering, the extra cable comes along with the power
bank when you purchase it. Personally, I feel that having the attached cable is
a convenience when I am not expecting to recharge my power bank.
Of course, if you feel that the attached
charging cable is too short and you prefer something longer so that you could
throw the power bank into your bag while charging your phone, no worries. You
also can to plug in your own cable.
Battery Test
Next, I will be putting the Poweradd Pilot
X1 to the test in terms of its true charging capacity by using the iPhone 5
which has a battery capacity of 1440mAh. I will be expecting the Poweradd Pilot
X1 to be able to charge my phone up to 100% about three times since it capacity
of 5200mAh. Test began I drained flat out power of the phone before plugging in
the power bank to charge it up. About one and half hours, the battery charged
up.
First round of charging got it up to 100%.
And then I repeated the test again. Second round of charging got it up to 100%
again. And then the third time, also up to 100%. It seems like still have some
power juice left in the power bank. the Poweradd Pilot X1 power bank is performing
as it’s descriptions. On the 4th charging cycle, it did not last long and seems
like the Poweradd Pilot X1 is good for 3 charging cycles on the iPhone. Giving
a conservative estimate, the Poweradd Pilot X1 is effective for around 5200 mAh
which gives it an efficiency of 100% real capacity. Pretty good.
There is a charging indicator consisting of
4 light indicators. A necessary indicator I feel, so that I would know how much
power is left in the power bank. When it lights up the fully 4 light it means
the battery is fully recharged, only one means 25%.
BTW, it has the LED flashlight, it is convenient for me in the night.
I like my devices to be reasonably small
and light-weight. So the Poweradd Pilot X1 meets my criteria. In terms of the
charging effectiveness for this power bank, I am pretty satisfied as well. So,
if you are looking for something small, light-weight and able to give you effective
power juice, this is pretty worth it for $17.99, it is special offer only $15.99 on Amazon now, you can get the external battery for iPhone here.
Pros: Slim, light-weight, quick charged,
compact for taken.
Cons: None.
